Arise, O compatriots,
Nigeria's call obey
To serve our Fatherland
With love and strength and faith.
The labour of our heroes past
Shall never be in vain,
To serve with heart and might
One nation bound in freedom, peace and unity.

O God of creation
Direct our noble cause
Guide our leaders right
Help our youth the truth to know
In love and honesty to grow
And living just and true
Great lofty heights attain
To build a nation where peace
And justice shall reign.

Everyday we wake up to news of the havock boko haram insurgents are wrecking in parts of Nigeria. My hear bleeds whenever stuffs like this happen and am beginning to ask myself if the supposed labour of our heroes past are not in vain already. This is not the Nigeria our founding fathers laid a foundation for. The so called politicians only care about their pockets! I read in a newspaper where the governor said he shunned Nigeria's centenary to pay back Jonathan and I asked myself if governance has been reduced to people playing quasi-god! Its so sad that people we voted for don't care even though they put advertorials in news print flaunting "projects" they just launched. Someone tell these governors the leaders in advanced countries don't do such. Why put it in our face that a project was successfully completed? the advert money is from whose account? Tax payers? Northern governors are trading blames, passing the buck to the president. Yeah, the president is the grand commander of the armed forces of the federal republic but then I ask, what effort have these so called governors made in their states to tackle the insurgents? They arm jobless youth to help them win elections, after elections these people become a thorn in their flesh. Am just tired of it all. Innocent kids are being gunned down in their prime! Why did the governor of adamawa flee to safety the other day? Why did he not wait? I reaLly hope soon.........we'll find a solution to this because the land is filled with blood of the innocent. If boko haram is facing corrupt politicians, then I won't have a problem with this. The question now is how much is one's life worth in Nigeria?

  1. Seriously, when will all this madness end? God, please help us o

    1. Am just sick and tired of it all my dear.

  2. Nigeria doesn't wanna coexist as a country at the same time doesn't wanna disintegrate. just stuck between both.

    1. For how long shall this madness continue?

  3. You have spoken well my dear. The truth of the matter is that Nigeria politicians are demons from pit of hell. If my Father was one i would gladly disown him. Western countries are wolves in sheeps clothing. They tell us they will help tackle corruption yet they allow them to put our money in their countries? Like come on. Am sorry to say this but Hausa people are the holding us back, My father have said it all. They refuse to be educated, would rather beg on the streets and kill innocent people? Yet they are the ones in power. Men it saddens me to see how my country have turn out. Federal government need to realize money is not only in oil, dont put all your eggs in one basket we are taught yet thats what they are doing. Men Jonathan needs to resign, all of them ought to be ashamed of themselves, For real men if killing wasnt a sin or if i was God i would have caused them the calamities they have been causing my people long time ago, I would really like to be president someday but na you need juju to be strong and protection and am not interested.

    1. My dear you have said it all! You need to see the hausa beggers on my street! I wonder if they can't engage themselves! They are the ones behind the bokoharam madness, they started the killings of igbos prior to biafra war, etc! God helps us oh

    2. Una dey para oooo! God dey sha
