AMAZING USES OF BAKING SODA

Baking soda is one of the most versatile and effective product lying on our counter but we don’t know so I decided to do a post on some great uses of baking soda.
1. Add one cup of baking soda to your next laundry along with your regular detergent to get clothes brighter and cleaner
2. Dissolve half cup of baking powder in a bucket of warm water and use to mop the floor for a shiny floor
3. Add half cup of baking powder to your bath for an at home spa treatment
4. Combine 3 parts baking soda with one part of water and rub onto silver with a clean cloth or sponge to shine tarnished silver. Rinse and thoroughly dry
5. For an instant relief from sun burn, mix baking soda with a little water and apply directly to affected part
6. Massage wet scalp with baking soda to fight dandruff
7. Make fluffier omelette by adding one and half teaspoon baking soda for every three eggs
8. Add ½ cup of baking soda to the bowl of your toilet seat, swirl and scrub
9. Exfoliate your skin with a paste of 3 parts baking soda to one part water. Apply gently with your fingertip in a circular motion, allow to dry and rinse off
10. Eliminate underarm wetness by rubbing armpit with 1/8 of a teaspoon of baking soda and one tablespoon of water
11. Mix dime size amount in shampoo to clean hair
12. Use it to wash hair as a natural build up remover
13. Use to wash your hairbrush and comb
14. Get rid of foot odour by soaking your feet for 15 – 30 minutes in a solution of warm water, half cup of baking soda and a few drops of tea tree oil
15. Soak pot of burnt food with hot water and baking soda. The burnt will come off easily
16. Pour a half cup of baking soda into a clogged drain, pour vinegar, allow to bubble and run hot water over the drain
17. Use to rinse your fruit
18. Use to clean your refrigerator
19. Fill a pair of old socks with baking soda, tie and place inside a pair of shoe you want to deodorize
20. Use to whiten your teeth

    1. I bet you have, it's also called baking powder or bicarbonate of soda. Mostly sold in shops that sells baking materials

  2. Thanks for sharing esp the teeth whitening bit. Mix half a teaspoon of baking soda with half a teaspoon of water and brush your teeth for no more than one minute because baking soda is abrasive to teeth

  8. Have learnt so much about baking soda, the teeth whitening ability is of great interest. Will try it out on my brother before I use it on myself ;-)
